Woodcuts, glazing medium photo transfers, stickers, and beads make up this edition of five zines about letting go of friendships that aren't working anymore. A story about finding something in the water and returning it there. 

MISS

Lithograph defiance of legibility as a queer person - each zine in the edition gets progressively harder to read through a controlled scumming process. The erosion of familial relationships, keeping controlled distance from your own roots, and seeing a bigger picture. Unfolds to reveal full print of house. 11 x 15 inches, edition of 24.

XENOMORPH DOODS

Doodles of xenomorphs (and friends) from the Alien franchise, collected and compiled. Accompanied by commentary, personal thoughts, poetry, and motivational statements. In space, no one can hear you scribble. 12 page PDF. 

HAUNTED HOUSE

A  small, 16 page trip through the shadows of a house. Created while thinking about bugs, stars, hauntings, isolation, neighbours, and how to search through darkness for reflections of yourself. 

TEARY PRETTY PINK

TEARY PRETTY PINK is a poem from 2021 accompanied by charcoal illustrations. It explores themes of grief, guilt, and the beauty that can be found in crying. This is a 12 page black and white zine.

BEAUTY AND MORALITY IN THE ALIEN FRANCHISE

A 10 page (plus cover, front and back) critical essay about the connection between beauty and morality in the Alien film franchise through its use of xenomorphs, hybrids, and clones. Examines artworks as visual references, and includes drawings and diagrams to further illustrate ideas. 

MR. CROW

February 2023

Mr. Crow is a 14 page (plus cover) eerie story about overcoming the feeling of being blinded by guilt. It follows a woman who comes face to face with a surreal crow man when she answers a knocking at her door. This black and white story is both suspenseful and humorous.
